Daniel Bækkegård is a 25-year-old professional triathlete. 2019 was Daniel's first year as a professional triathlete. Despite his young age and inexperience on the full distance, he managed to take the sport by storm.

Bio

Daniel grew up in a small village in Denmark and started his education as an athlete early when he joined the local swimming team at age 7. Daniels background as an elite swimmer means that he is often racing from the front.

At the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, a good swim and a strong bike put him in the right position to secure his biggest result to date - 3rd at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship St. George.

Bio

Eyes are now on the Ironman World Championship in May 2022 where he is looking to change his bronze to a gold medal.
